Intelligent Design of Evolution
There are two opposing camps: people who believe in evolution and people who believe in Creationism. News flash! They're both wrong! Although you can point to evidence for evolution and natural selection, there are still facts that you have to take on faith. For example, even a single cell is incredibly complex and no one has been able to create a cell purely from atomic components. On the other hand, there is solid scientific evidence including fossils and experimental biology that demonstrate crossovers, mutations, and natural selection. For example, you can watch bacteria evolve over many generations quickly and become resistant to certain antibiotics.
Here is an example of how it could make sense for there to be a creator of an evolutionary system.
For my neural networks course at Harvey Mudd College, I created a simulation with wolves, sheep, and grass. I used a multi-layer perception (geek speak for a neural network) for both the sheep and the wolves to determine how to they should move around the field. After each round of the simulation, I kept the sheep that avoided the wolves the best and ate the most grass and the wolves that ate the most sheep. I, then, did crossovers and mutations of the top sheep and wolves for the next round of the simulation. Over time, the sheep changed their behavior and became more adept at avoiding the wolves. However, each time the sheep changed their behavior, the wolves eventually changed theirs. All of this was measured using a fitness function and graphed over time.
You can watch this simulation here: http://www.cs.hmc.edu/~bbentow/sheepvwolves.html
The point is that this program was designed to evolve and I am proposing that G-d created the world to evolve. This way you can still believe in G-d and not dismiss science, the existence of dinosaurs, and evolution.
I believe that this theory is great for people who are spiritual but also have a strong scientific background and wish to have careers in science while still maintaining their faith without having internal conflict. I welcome any thoughts about this.

Here we go again..
I only want to point out that somebody seems to have a rather naive idea about what makes actually species. There are some definitions around, but finally it seems it's a man made term and as hard to define as life itself. However I recommend these Wikipedia articles:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speciation
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reproductive_isolation
And please consider that Wikipedia is FREE and so should you feel to contribute.
Sorry for the harsh tone.. I'm a little drunk :)
What's your definition of evolution?
Brian, I agree with your main idea; that "G-d created the world to evolve". Very cool.
However, (and I don't mean offend you) it sounds like you have a rather naive view of what "evolution" means. Almost 100% of those who call themselves "Creationist" would agree with your idea that change happens within a species. What makes someone a true evolutionist is the belief that species change into other species (not supportable by science). In fact, "scientific evidence including fossils and experimental biology that demonstrate crossovers, mutations, and natural selection" is what helps a good creation scientist to point out how the "molecules to man" idea of evolution is wrong.
If you are looking for a peer-reviewed scientific journal which specializes in creation topics, go to http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/arj/v2/n1 for one of the recent issues.
I'd love to talk with you further on this topic. Thanks.
