Although at first I was a bit disappointed to hear that Gordon Ramsay wasn't fronting the show anymore I soon changed my mind when I heard that the new chef was none other than Marco Pierre White. AKA: The man who made Gordon Ramsay cry like a baby.

I watched the first episode last night at 9PM and I have to say I felt a bit scared for those celebrities when they were waiting to meet Marco. He is a very intimidating guy! When he came in and introduced himself and asked them to each tell him who they were they looked like they were about 12 years old and back in front of the school headmaster. Classic! Marco then set them a challenge of cooking an egg dish, something simple like scrambled, poached, or fried, whatever they wanted and then he would rate their dish.

A couple came out looking relatively edible but to be honest most looked like something I wouldn't actually feed to my dog. If I had a dog... Before they knew it the celebrities were thrown in at the deep end cooking for a restaurant packed with other less brave celebrities who had come for a meal. Hold on, maybe they were the braver ones actually seeing as they were most at risk of food poisoning! The service had its ups and downs, some of the best bits were when one of the diners dared to complain to Marco about his food; Marco's response?

Well let's just say he wasn't exactly apologetic. I think the exact words used were. "You have two choices, Apologise or Leave" the guy was left standing there in front of all of his mates in complete shock and didn't have a clue how to respond. In the end he left, after scrawling a very childish comment on the questionnaire. After all of the meals had been served they read back the marks out of 10 and the comments left on the questionnaires that the guests had been using and it was revealed that the women had won. This was quite surprising really given how long it took for them to actually receive an order. I think I'm really going to enjoy the rest of this series and shall be trying to keep up with it every night. Did anyone else manage to catch the first episode at all? If so, what were your thoughts about Marco and am I the only one who finds something strangely attractive about him? Undecided (Probably!) Hit reply after this article and let us know what you think to the series!
