To begin with if you're unfamiliar with this project you can read it's history here. I'm releasing a 13 page short movie script

which completes the picture my original 7 page concept painted when I initially posted this project online and it spread virally around the world. You'll find in this 13 pages and adds more action and background to what was going on. I wonder how the derivatives would have changed if I would have released this initially instead of the initial concept. Please post all comments and thoughts in the forums or comment directly on this post. THIS IS DEFINITELY one of the versions I'm going to be shooting so better add those comments and let me know what you think. So on that note, I'm happy to announce that this project is absolutely going to materialize very soon.

I've already began scouting for locations and drawing some basic storyboards (View storyboards from the my current draft are available on my myspace photo page - right here Remember I'm not a pencil artist, I just wanted to sketch out some of the scenes to help with visualizations of the shots). I'm going to shoot the movie in Ventura County, about a 1 hour drive from Hollywood. Now to be honest with the huge depth of the derivatives and the need for special effects etc, I will not be able to shoot all the different versions myself as originally planned and mentioned in this video. I'll shoot what I can and it'll be up to other people in the community to help make the various versions a reality. No matter what this will be a crowd sourced film and we'll release the source footage and involved the community as much as possible in the production of the film. We're treading new ground here. If you haven't yet sign up for a blog, post your thoughts and then contribute to the forums. Let's build a lively community in here and make this film(s) as good as we can. I'm going to talk about this in another post I'll be doing soon, but I've already formed a non-profit corporation to make this movie under, it's charitable so you can donate to it tax deduct-able and all the crew (including me) can legally donate their time to creating open films.
