My Paranormal Review? (Paranormal Activity)

WHAT?! I can’t believe I almost watched this in theaters!!!!  Thank goodness for Netflix.

So… I’m usually really really patient with slow films … When Solomon says: Turn it off! I will sit there and be like SHHH patience, young grasshopper/ But this one, I had to quit before I wasted more of my time on it.

It was hyped up to be this crazily scary film where people are screaming in the theaters: I guess they must’ve just dropped their popcorn or spilled some soda. They also praised it for the amount of money it took to make the film– umm.. has anyone noticed that you get what you paid for in this film? It’s crappily shot, slow, boring and nothing interesting happens. Might as well have been a YouTube video. I’ve seen a lot more low-budget films with a much higher quality and a better plot.

It was not scary. The whole beginning of the movie was like watching a reality show with the same silly jokes– it’s kinda entertaining. Then comes the slowwwwwwwwwwww middle that I died through. It began with the weird ghost-hunter, psychic person– whatever he is. I do not care about the characters enough to listen to them talk about stupid stuff that don't matter and freak out over a bump in the night.

She goes on talking about nothing in a barely audible scene… it’s just torture to watch it. :(

Bottomline: People with short to medium attention spans? Avoid this like the plague.
