MoviePals is having an open audition for the Mob Mentality Series Pilot on February 28, 2010 from 2:00-5:00 PM.

Series Synopsis:

Like blurred faces in a passing mob, Mob Mentality begins with a jolting leap into the lives of seemly disconnected characters. A cubical hating programmer collides with an aging actress mourning the loss of her 'day job'. A jaded video blogger records his dark philosophies while a gang of cyberpunks plot retribution following a government raid. As characters and plots intersect , a story about people adapting to the modern world emerges. Part comedy, part drama, part action, it's a dynamic series not easily classified, but full of personality. Mob Mentality is being created by an open collaboration of artists, spans cultures and continents, and you, the audience, are invited to participate in the process. Participants become part owners of the finished episodes and receive a permanent revenue share and exposure! MoviePals has already obtained international press and millions of website visits.

Roles with Character Descriptions:

Victoria, Pilot with the potential to be in continuing episodes / Lead / Female / All Ethnicities / 35 - 45 years

Description: Pretty Victoria, who like so many women in L.A., has fallen under a curse delivered from that tired old bitch called Hollywood. Discarded at her prime (late 30s-early 40s), Victoria has too much class to be flashing her trash to the paparazzi. They don’t know who she is anyway. But, Victoria still dreams big regardless, of creative success and of that special man (or men) she looks forward to meeting for a REAL relationship. If that can be had in L.A. In the meantime, she unconsciously languishes during the day in overly-starched button downs and stuffy pumps as a corporate recruiter—the same tired role in the same old play. The show abruptly ends, and our Victoria is to about to find out where her real life begins.

Shane, Pilot with the potential to be in continuing episodes / Lead / Male / All Ethnicities / 25 - 35 years

Description: Half geek, half prep, Shane is a computer programmer in his late twenties / early 30s. He’s got a dry wit and a strong distaste for the cubical farm which he spends most of his work day fierce multi-tasking, creative code monkying, and complaining about the rat race. He spends more time on side projects and dreaming about his next ‘big move” than with his friends. He likes computers, B movies, and philosophy books. Making new friends is too distracting from his plans, so he keeps old ties to college buddies and his over-achieving past.

Street parking is free, but may be hard to find. You can park in the building or in one of the various parking lots within a few blocks. Scripts will be provided.
